There's no place like home for the Heritage Coyotes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Centennial with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-45. Given Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Centennial is ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Heritage found their leader in underclassman Cameron Lomax, who scored 26 points along with two steals. Lomax is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaycob Mcdonald, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Heritage pushed their record up to 16-10 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
Heritage will head out on the road to challenge Emerson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will be playing at home against Walnut Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
