There's no place like home for the East Laurens Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 49-42 win over Dublin on Saturday. This was payback for East Laurens, who suffered a 59-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.
East Laurens' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from McKayela Tanner, who scored 17 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Tanner has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Deanna Lowther, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Dublin still got an impressive performance from Nahallie Turnley, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Turnley hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 17 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ra'nyya Washington, who scored eight points.
East Laurens is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Dublin, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.
