3A Region 7 recap September 17, 2013
Crystal Springs's Jerriko Morris recorded the longest rushing play in 3A Region 7 this season in his game against Raymond last week. Morris scampered for 88 yards on the play and finished with 114 on the day as his team lost to the Rangers.
Franklin County scaled the state rankings by moving to 93 from 123 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs were able to make move up by topping Tylertown 17-14.
On the heels of Jarvis Warner and D'Alex Rockingham, Hazlehurst has had great success on offense. Warner is tops in the league in passing with 546 yards, while Rockingham has rushed for 332 yards this season. Wilkinson County's Allenzae Staggers leads the league in receiving yards with 308 on 13 catches.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Indians beat East Marion 14-0,. The victory was the fourth in a row for Hazlehurst.
