The Verdugo Hills Dons won the last time they faced the Arleta Mustangs, and things went their way on Friday too. Verdugo Hills enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over Arleta.
Verdugo Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Georges Abdulnour, who shot 4-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Abdulnour has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Martinez, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Verdugo Hills has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Arleta, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.
Verdugo Hills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th. Roosevelt has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 245 points over their last four matches. As for Arleta, they will be playing at home against Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
