The Maysville Panthers waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 57-50 win over Northridge.
Maysville was led to victory by Gator Nichols and Alex Bobb. Nichols scored 21 points along with two steals, while Bobb scored 28 points along with nine rebounds. Bobb is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Wesley Armstead was another key contributor, scoring two points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Maysville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Northridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Maysville will be playing in front of their home fans against Meadowbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meadowbrook comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Northridge won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lakewood at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th. Lakewood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 547th, while Northridge is ranked 107th).
