The Rio Americano Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Rocklin Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rio Americano will be strutting in after a victory while Rocklin will be coming in after a loss.
Rio Americano had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Del Campo on Thursday by a score of 3-1 (the very same score they lost by the week prior). Isaac Carillo had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Rio Americano got from the refs.
Rio Americano hit Del Campo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Samuel Florez, Carillo, and
Joshua Brown.
Meanwhile, Rocklin fell victim to Whitney's stalwart defense on Monday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were the victim of a tough 3-0 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. Rocklin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rio Americano's win bumped their record up to 5-6-4. As for Rocklin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9-2 record this season.
