Softball Recap: Bakersfield Christian Beats Bishop Union for Their Fourth Straight Win

Bakersfield Christian entered their tilt with Bishop Union on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Broncos with a sharp 13-5 win.

Dakoda Hilvers and Cailee Carr did most of the damage at the plate: Hilvers went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Carr went 2-for-3 with one home run. That's the most RBI Hilvers has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Franco, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Bakersfield Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive contests.

Bakersfield Christian's record is now 8-5. As for Bishop Union, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bakersfield Christian will head out to take on Central at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Union, they will venture away from home to face off against Rosamond at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
