The Memorial Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Memorial made easy work of Frisco and carried off a 9-3 win. Considering the Warriors have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Megan Wilson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sanaa Moses, who went 2-for-4 with two triples and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Caiden Coleman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Lebanon Trail came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Knights.
Like Memorial, Lebanon Trail also got a great game from a two-way player: Parker Rodgers. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Rodgers was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Lebanon Trail let Kendall Dreary and Ella Ramon run wild. Dreary went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI, while Ramon scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Ramon also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Valentina Quinones, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Lebanon Trail hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.
Memorial's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lebanon Trail, their record now sits at 9-3-1.
Memorial might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Lebanon Trail when the teams last played back in February. Can Memorial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
