Redlands is 2-8 against the Wildcats since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Redlands Terriers will head out on the road to square off against the Redlands East Valley Wildcats at 6:45 p.m. Redlands is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Redlands lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They were the victim of a tough 61-35 loss at the hands of Beaumont. While losing is never fun, Redlands can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while the Cougars are ranked 178th).
Meanwhile, even though Citrus Valley scored an imposing 65 points on Wednesday, Redlands East Valley still came out on top. Redlands East Valley took down the Blackhawks 83-65.
Jeremiah Ivens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrell Green, who scored 18 points.
Redlands dropped their record down to 10-14 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Redlands East Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season.
Redlands came up short against the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in January, falling 65-59. Can Redlands avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
