The Goleman Gators entered their tilt with the Miami Beach Hi-Tides with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Goleman walked away with a 44-37 win over Miami Beach on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Goleman also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Goleman was led to victory by Jasmin Brown and Akayla Edwards. Brown scored seven points along with nine steals and seven rebounds, while Edwards scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Edwards pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Berman, who scored three points along with six steals.
Goleman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Miami Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Goleman will head out on the road to square off against Palmetto at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmetto will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Miami Beach will take on Mourning at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mourning's defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so Miami Beach's offense will have their work cut out for them.
