The Alexander Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wheatland-Chili 83-45 at home. Winning may never get old, but Alexander sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Despite the loss, Wheatland-Chili still got an impressive performance from Leighton Williams, who scored 17 points. Williams hasn't dropped below 17 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaden Schwenebraten, who scored 11 points.
Alexander's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Wheatland-Chili, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.
Alexander will head out on the road to square off against Oakfield-Alabama at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Alexander's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for Wheatland-Chili, they will be playing at home against Pembroke at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wheatland-Chili is coming into the game with eight straight losses at home, meaning Pembroke will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
