Volleyball Recap: Oconto Extends Winning Streak to Six

Oconto extended their winning streak to six on Saturday, bumping them up to 22-7. They came out on top against the Sturgeon Bay Clippers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Alaina VandenLangenberg paced Oconto's offense, picking up 13 kills. VandenLangenberg got some help from Adelyn Martin and her 11 assists.

As for Sturgeon Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-25. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 18-10 Mayville (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70.1% over those games).

When it comes to explaining why Sturgeon Bay lost, don't look at Makenna Coyhis. Despite the final result, she had four digs and two aces.

Oconto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Mayville on the 11th. As for Sturgeon Bay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sevastopol on the 14th.
