The DuSable Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Air Force Academy 32-7. Winning may never get old, but DuSable sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jayniha Jones was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Damaya Plant, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
DuSable's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Air Force Academy, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6-1.
DuSable will be home for the holidays to greet Harlan at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Harlan's defense has only allowed 23.1 points per game this season, so DuSable's offense will have their work cut out for DuSable. As for Air Force Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Corliss at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Corliss' defense has only allowed 22.9 points per game this season, so Air Force Academy's offense will have their work cut out for Air Force Academy.
