The Horseshoe Bend Mustangs lost against the Council Lumberjacks back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Horseshoe Bend took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Council. Horseshoe Bend has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Treyven Bauer, who scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds. Bauer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaelun Jones, who scored 12 points.
Horseshoe Bend has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Council, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horseshoe Bend will take on Garden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Council, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Cascade at 7:31 p.m.
