Reeds Spring added to the longest winning streak in Central Ozarks - Small this week by beating Central, 42-0. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Wolves.
Marshfield's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Blayne Armstrong threw for 289 and 4 touchdowns and Willie Totten had 124 yards receiving. On the ground Armstrong contributed 98 yards. Mattew Clancy helped Marshfield's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 96 yards.
Armstrong put up the best numbers through the air as the Bluejays bested Buffalo. Armstrong's favorite target this week was Totten, who caught 8 passes for 124 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Marshfield's Armstrong and Clancy have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Armstrong has thrown for 2,631 yards this season, while Clancy has 63 catches for 994 yards. Reeds Spring's Easton Flaugh leads the league in rushing yards with 845.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Reeds Spring takes on second place Bolivar. Brian Moler's team beat the Bulldogs last week, while Bolivar topped Springfield Catholic.
Clancy of the Nick Codutti's team's is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 6 receiving yards in this week's game against the Fighting Irish to get there. So far this year, he has acheived 63 catches for 994 yards.
The Wolves' offense has scored 331 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Liberators have allowed only 59 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Bolivar takes on Reeds Spring. Lance Roweton's team has allowed 59 points this season, while the Wolves have given up 138. The Liberators allowed 0 points last week as they defeated Springfield Catholic.
Logan-Rogersville made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,005 from 11,246. The improvement was the result of a 29-26 victory over Hollister last week.
