The Gilbert Christian Knights stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 100-39 win over Globe. The victory was just what Gilbert Christian needed coming off of a 86-64 loss in their prior game.
Keon Talgo was his usual excellent self, shooting 9-for-16 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double on 35 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lopemi. Omole, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Globe's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vansler Nosie, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Jonas Dillon was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Gilbert Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Globe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-23.
Gilbert Christian will head out on the road to face off against San Tan Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gilbert Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 matchups -- so hopefully San Tan Foothills likes a good challenge. Globe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
