Basketball Game Preview: Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders vs. St. Joseph Academy Flashes

Having just played yesterday, the Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders will get right back to it and host the St. Joseph Academy Flashes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Old Plank Christian Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.

On Monday, Old Plank Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Harvest Community, taking the game 41-34.

Jenna Jiannuzzi was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Jiannuzzi is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Mia Wilkins was another key player, going 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points and six steals.

Old Plank Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 63-12 loss at the hands of St. Johns Country Day. The Flashes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-8.

St. Joseph Academy dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Old Plank Christian Academy strolled past St. Joseph Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 48-29. Will Old Plank Christian Academy repeat their success, or does St. Joseph Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
