Basketball Recap: Hartford Piles Up the Points Against Peabody-Burns

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hartford walked away with it. They blew past the Peabody-Burns Warriors 69-30 on Monday. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Peabody-Burns saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jameson Miles shot 50% from the field en route to 19 points and five rebounds. The matchup was Miles' fourth in a row with at least 16 points.

Hartford is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points over those games. Peabody-Burns has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Hartford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-36 loss against Lebo on the 8th. Peabody-Burns does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
