Mineral Ridge typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Crestview proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 10-5.
Emma Snyder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.
At the plate, Alivia Shetler was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Mckee, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Hillsdale is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Crestview, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-10.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hillsdale has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Crestview struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
