Taylor is 9-1 against Pine Ridge since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Taylor Wildcats take on Pine Ridge Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Taylor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.9 runs per game this season.
Taylor barely beat Interlachen the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Taylor blew past Interlachen 20-3 last Thursday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 15 runs or more this season.

Taylor let Amya Ramos and Caydence Hassell run wild. Ramos got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Hassell went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave Hassell a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Lacey Price, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Taylor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Pine Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Seabreeze, falling 18-2. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Pine Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Pettit, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Carla Rivera also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Taylor's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.4 runs over those games. As for Pine Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1.
Pine Ridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Taylor has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Pine Ridge, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Taylor's sizable advantage in that area, Pine Ridge will need to find a way to close that gap.
Taylor took their win against Pine Ridge when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 17-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
