The Blissfield Royals will head out on the road to square off against the Hudson Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blissfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 329 points over their last five matches.
Blissfield pushed their score all the way to 71 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Onsted. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (68), Blissfield still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Hudson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They were dealt a 73-27 defeat at the hands of Summerfield. While losing is never fun, Hudson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 662nd, while Summerfield is ranked 186th).
Blissfield dropped their record down to 9-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
Everything came up roses for Blissfield against Hudson when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 71-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blissfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
