The Mechanicsburg Indians lost against the Triad Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mechanicsburg fell to Triad 56-51. Mechanicsburg has struggled against Triad recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lane Poland, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Keegan Freeze, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Even though they lost, Mechanicsburg were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Mechanicsburg's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Triad, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Mechanicsburg will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Tree of Life Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Triad will finish 2023 at home by hosting Ridgedale at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th.
