The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mt. Zion in their matchups with Stockbridge: they've now lost six in a row.
Jayla Fulks continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Stockbridge, scoring 20 points. Fulks continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kahli Ingram, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Stockbridge, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Mt. Zion will head out on the road to challenge Pace Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pace Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mt. Zion in Georgia (Pace Academy is ranked 178th, while Mt. Zion is ranked 380th). As for Stockbridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Luella at 6:00 p.m. Luella is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
