Martell Pettaway of South Lake ran for the longest rushing play in Macomb Area - Silver this season against Clawson last week. Pettaway ran for 78 yards on the play and finished with 266 on the day as his team lost to the Trojans.
Madison added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Mt. Clemens, 35-18. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Eagles.
Pettaway was a force in the backfield as South Lake fell to Clawson.
Darius Jordan threw for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Pettaway was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 266 yards on 26 carries as Nick Marrogy's team defeated the Battling Bathers. Jalen Williams also contributed to the rushing game with 37 yards on the ground.
Warren Woods-Tower's Jordan and Torence Collins have formed a dream team this season, leading Macomb Area - Silver in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Jordan has thrown for 771 yards this season, while Collins has 16 catches for 234 yards. The Cavaliers' Pettaway leads the league in rushing yards with 954.
Pettaway of the South Lake is just 46 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 120 carries Pettaway has accumulated 954 yard this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when East Detroit takes on Drake Wilkins' team. At the moment, the Shamrocks are in fifth, while the Eagles are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when East Detroit takes on Madison. Branden Banks' team has allowed 128 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 61.
The Titans took down New Haven 47-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jordan ran for 78 yards during the win.
