The Pleasant View Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Victory Baptist Academy 54-20 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-7.
Pleasant View Christian found their leader in underclassman Gwen Carr, who scored 17 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Carr has scored at least 25% of Pleasant View Christian's points. Hollynn Carney was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
The win got Pleasant View Christian back to even at 4-4. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant View Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Christian Community at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Averaging 38.1 so far this season, Christian Community's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Pleasant View Christian better be ready for a challenge. Victory Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Temple Baptist Academy at 12:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
