It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Junction City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 69-66 victory over the Emporia Spartans. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Emporia's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylan Crowell, who went 10-for-19 to rack up 24 points. Those 24 points gave Crowell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Trelc, who went 7-for-8 en route to 18 points.

Junction City's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Emporia, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 10-5.

Junction City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-58 loss against Washburn Rural on the 14th. As for Emporia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-37 defeat against Hayden on the 14th.
