Aquinas Academy won the last time they faced Summit Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. Aquinas Academy put the hurt on Summit Academy with a sharp 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.
Zach Yohe made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Yohe was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Aquinas Academy let Richie Haring and Ian Patterson run wild. Haring scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Patterson scored two runs while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Richthammer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Aquinas Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Summit Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
