The Chesterton Trojans will face off against the Hebron Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hebron will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Chesterton extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Trojans blew past La Porte 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Trojans have posted against the Slicers since April 27, 2021.

The team relied heavily on Payton Cherep, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Claire Demeter, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hebron). They put the hurt on Tri-Township with a sharp 19-3 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.
Savanna Anderson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Hebron let Addison Toczek and Addison Dujmovich run wild. Toczek got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Dujmovich went 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one double. That triple was Toczek's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addisyn Siminski, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
Hebron always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Chesterton's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Hebron, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
