Coronado is 0-6 against Centennial since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Coronado Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Centennial Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Coronado comes in on four and Centennial on five.
Coronado posted their biggest win yet this season on Monday. They blew past Clark, posting a 64-21 win on the road.
Coronado found their leader in underclassman Scarlet Lopez, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Lopez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Gabrielle Brooks was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Centennial can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 84-43 victory over Desert Pines.
Coronado has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Centennial, their victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
