Hidden Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cave Spring, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Franklin County 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted against the Eagles since March 11, 2020.
The team relied heavily on Ethan Richards, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Hidden Valley now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Cave Spring, their record now sits at 4-6.
Hidden Valley's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Titans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Cave Spring, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Hidden Valley continue to outrun the ball?
