Given Escambia Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while Snook Christian Academy is ranked 407th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Escambia Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Bell, who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Rontae Watson, who scored 17 points.
The win was the fourth in a row for Escambia Academy, bringing their record for this year to 10-2. As for Snook Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Escambia Academy will head out on the road to face off against South Choctaw Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Snook Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Crenshaw Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
