Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northland Prep Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Short, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Short has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Schulz, who scored nine points along with eight steals.
Several Honey Badgers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anahi Nunez, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 50% of Highland Prep's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kendra Ibeh, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Northland Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Highland Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Northland Prep Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinon at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Highland Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face San Miguel at 11:00 a.m. on January 20th. San Miguel is on a four-game streak of home losses, Highland Prep a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
