The Trinity Trojans were the 67-66 winner over the Madison Blue Streaks when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Trinity took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Madison on Wednesday.
Trinity's loss came despite strong showings from De'oshania Bennett and Iniya Charlton. Bennett scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals, while Charlton scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Madison, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on Brooklyn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Geneva at 6:45 p.m. Geneva will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Madison is ranked 66th).
