Softball Recap: Madison Prep Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Madison Prep Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Livonia, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went Madison Prep Academy's way against the Livonia Wildcats on Monday as Madison Prep Academy made off with a 25-17 victory. Madison Prep Academy's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Kyndal Robertson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off four hits. Robertson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Tabrina Knighten was incredible, going 5-for-6 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmin Robertson, who scored four runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.

Madison Prep Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Madison Prep Academy's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Livonia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison Prep Academy will face off against University Lab at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Lab is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season. As for Livonia, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Livonia Wildcats take on Independence Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
