The Mosley Dolphins will take on the Altha Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mosley took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Rutherford 16-1. The high-scoring effort was just what the Dolphins needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Makenzy Grewe was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddy Watson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Mosley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Altha waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Pirates get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Tarrin McCrone made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, eight RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5.
In other batting news, Altha let Hope Tanner and Reagan Roberts run wild. Tanner scored three runs while going 4-for-5, while Roberts scored five runs while going 2-for-4. Tanner also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Kaylean Clowes was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Altha's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mosley, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6.
Mosley took their victory against Altha in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Dolphins repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
