Omaha Lightning's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Lighthouse Christian on the road and fell 62-30. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Omaha Lightning of the 50-28 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Elijah Rahn was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds for Lighthouse Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rahn has scored all season. Lee Stinson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Omaha Lightning's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lighthouse Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Mid-Missouri HomeSchool the next time they take the court. Omaha Lightning will host Mid-Missouri HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Lighthouse Christian will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
