Memorial has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Brookfield Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Memorial scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 82-50 win over Champion on the road. Memorial has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Aziyah Flores, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. David Moore was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brookfield came up short against the Vikings on Tuesday and fell 66-59. While losing is never fun, Brookfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 668th, while the Vikings are ranked 197th).
Memorial pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Brookfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Memorial didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Warriors when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory. Will Memorial repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
