Garfield Community Learning Center will head into Monday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 32-point drubbing they dealt South on Monday. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Walker, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 17 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Louisville narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Imani Christian Academy 52-50.

Garfield Community Learning Center's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Louisville, their record now sits at 6-4.

Garfield Community Learning Center might still be hurting after the 73-52 loss they got from Louisville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Louisville's Brayden Gross, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
