The Beddingfield Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the James Kenan Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Beddingfield will be strutting in after a win while James Kenan will be coming in after a loss.
Beddingfield put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Spring Creek on the road to the tune of 66-8. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 54-8.
Beddingfield can attribute much of their success to Craig Barnes, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Desmond Wooten was another key contributor, rushing for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 8-8 at halftime, James Kenan was not quite Wallace-Rose Hill's equal in the second half on Friday. James Kenan ended up on the wrong side of a rough 36-15 walloping at the hands of Wallace-Rose Hill. James Kenan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Beddingfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for James Kenan, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-4.
