The Lightridge Bolts will be playing at home against the Massaponax Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Lightridge is ranked 72nd, while Massaponax is ranked 57th).
Lightridge was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Potomac Falls by a score of 28-19. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lightridge.
Lightridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Working, who threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Lightridge's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Jayden Clark was especially locked on to Potomac Falls' QB and sacked him twice.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Massaponax's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 34-14 walloping at the hands of Riverbend.
Lightridge's victory bumped their season record to 6-4 while Massaponax's loss dropped theirs to 5-5.
