Brewster is 0-3 against Mahopac since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Brewster Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Mahopac Indians at 7:00 p.m. Brewster is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 37-6, which was the final score in Brewster's tilt against Yorktown on Friday. While losing is never fun, Brewster can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Yorktown is ranked 19th).
Meanwhile, Mahopac didn't have quite enough to beat Fox Lane on Friday and fell 10-7.
The losses dropped Brewster to 2-4 and Mahopac to 4-3.
Brewster came up short against Mahopac in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 49-39. Can Brewster avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
