The Foss Falcons fell victim to the Cedarcrest Red Wolves''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Red Wolves, falling 51-0. While losing is never fun, Foss can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Cedarcrest is ranked 118th).
Leading Cedarcrest to victory were Connor Altmyer and Dylan Hartje. Altmyer threw for 246 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, while Hartje rushed for 178 yards while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. JT Marsh did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 115 receiving yards.
Foss' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 2.0 points per game. As for Cedarcrest, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Foss does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cedarcrest also has no future games currently scheduled.
