Basketball Recap: Pocatello Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pocatello, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Thunder Ridge Titans by a score of 51-40 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Thunder Ridge still got an impressive performance from Deegan Branson, who went 6 of 12 en route to 14 points along with seven boards and three steals. Mckay Scoresby was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Pocatello pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Thunder Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pocatello will take on Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Thunder Ridge, they will venture away from home to take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Madison will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Thunder Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
