They walked away with a 51-40 win over Olentangy. That's two games straight that Olentangy Liberty has won by exactly 11 points.
Gigi Bower was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Olentangy Liberty's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Pyles, who scored 11 points.
Olentangy Liberty has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Olentangy, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olentangy Liberty will face off against Dublin Coffman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dublin Coffman will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Olentangy, Olentangy and Olentangy Berlin will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Olentangy Berlin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Olentangy is ranked second).
