DeMello and Peak gave Nansemond-Suffolk Academy a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. David Gough also contributed to the rushing game with 68 yards on the ground.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Hampton Roads Academy's Trey Critides goes up against Greenbrier Christian Academy's Mike Cole.
Next week's game between the Navigators and the Gators will feature a good passing match up as Duncan Wingfield will test his arm against Cole's defensive ability. For the year, Hampton Roads Academy's Wingfield has managed 684 yards and 10 touchdowns, while Cole has 2 interceptions for Greenbrier Christian Academy.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Donnie Simpson's team takes on Bryce Kiser's team. At the moment, the Gators are in sixth, while the Navigators are in fourth.
Lew Johnston's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,979 from 4,372. The improvement was largely due to a 47-0 victory over St. Anne's-Belfield last week.
