The Pueblo West Cyclones posted their biggest victory yet this season on Monday. They really took it to Pueblo Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-4 victory on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-2.
Pueblo West got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rebekah Seggeran out in front who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Seggeran has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trynity Martin, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Pueblo West's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Pueblo Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pueblo West will take on Pueblo East at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pueblo East is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Pueblo Central, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pueblo County at 6:00 p.m. Pueblo County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pueblo Central in Colorado (Pueblo County is ranked 123rd, while Pueblo Central is ranked 260th).
