Leading Valley to victory were Caleb Dudley and Maddox Woolverton. Dudley went 8-for-13 en route to 29 points and eight boards, while Woolverton posted 25 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Woolverton a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Carson Adolf, who earned seven points and six assists.
Weld Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rhett Peake, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Mazzotti, who had 14 points.
Valley's record is now 6-15. As for Weld Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-20 record this season.
