While it was all tied up 19-19 at halftime, the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs were not quite the Madison Central Indians's equal in the second half on Wednesday. Hazard was the victim of a tough 59-34 defeat at the hands of Madison Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hazard has scored all season.
Madison Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nataya Strader led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six steals. Strader continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Brittany Campbell was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six assists.
Hazard's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Madison Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Hazard's road trip will continue as they head out to face Estill County at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Madison Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Nicholas County at 7:15 p.m. on December 21st. Nicholas County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
