After a string of four wins, the Beekmantown Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Northeastern Clinton, falling 75-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beekmantown has scored all season.
Grace McCasland and Payton Parliament certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. McCasland scored eight points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Parliament scored five points along with seven rebounds. It was the first time this season that McCasland posted two or more blocks.
Beekmantown dropped their record down to 8-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Northeastern Clinton, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.
Beekmantown won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bellows Free Academy at 2:30 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully Beekmantown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for Northeastern Clinton, they will head out on the road to square off against Plattsburgh at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northeastern Clinton is facing Plattsburgh at the right time seeing as Plattsburgh is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
