They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 73-49 walloping at the hands of Graphics. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Manhattan Center for Science & Math has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, Norman Thomas pushed their score all the way to 71 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of West 50th Street by a score of 74-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Thursday (60), Norman Thomas still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Norman Thomas had strong showings from Jariel Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten assists, and Jason Guzman, who scored 18 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Chazulle, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Manhattan Center for Science & Math has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Norman Thomas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.
